Prom Decor News
Preparations are coming along for the OB High prom committee. A trip to the Ocean Beach Mall was a roller coaster of emotions as Debbie, Tiffany, and Heather flipped out when the New Years Eve section of the party store seemed to be out of Disco Balls. In the beginning of December? How could this be?! And to their astonishment, boxes of New Years Favors cost $30?! Wow, who would have thought inflation in 1989 could be this high? But a hunt in the disco party section relieved much worry and the girls were as giddy as can be when Tiffany spotted the leopard print crepe paper streamers.
Getting Crafty!
Also in recent prom prep news, a totally bodacious student, who will remain anonymous until prom night, has offered her crafty skills and some of her movie theatre earnings to create some fun gifts for some lucky prom guests.

Remember, start thinking about your nominees for OB High's 1989 Prom King and Queen. We ask that you nominate students who exemplify the values and qualities that we deem important at Ocean Beach High.
Fundage
After calculating the total funds for the event this year, the Treasurer of the OB High Prom Committee has announced that they will be providing the entertainment for the evening, including a gnarly DJ and dance party, a garden setting backdrop for you and your date's prom picture that will last a lifetime, endless champagne and a special island flavored punch, munchies, and more! Any
other refreshments will need to be brought by prom guests and financial donations will be accepted (many members of the committee will be spending their own money). Thank you for supporting your 1989's Prom Committee.
